Letter To My Love

It is windy tonight--

As if the longing I feel for you had grown so restless that it

Manifested in the heavens themselves,

Searching for you as if it could not

Bear separation another minute;

I am full of you tonight,

Melting within myself as if my body were wax and my love a lit wick--

I reach for you across distance,

Across longing,

Across heaven;

Can't you feel my fingertips hover,

Separated from your skin on this windy night

By nothing more than time and thin air.

Your words take my words away.
Wax and wicks... hmm... flame burns and breath extinguishes.

Cherie, it's nice to see you here! Thank you for your kind comment. :-)

Shrinky is being too nice...I can't help feeling I should be prepared to duck a creme pie or something!

Thank you so much, Alex! I like your blog too! I hope you will visit again soon!

I have a file marked "MZ blurbs" stashed safely away. I may just publish the blurbs, sans book lol.

Chewy, I was just minding my business when someone came into my life with a pack of matches. The brass of some people!

Aw Jannie, I am glad you found it too! First of all, there can never be too many Texan gals here, secondly you were recommended highly by Jasmeene da Skwirrle, and thirdly, I am so glad you are my friend. :-)

Thanks, M, welcome to the Word Garden. :-)

Ay yi yi, don't tell me I've been mistaken for Jannie Funster again. In any case, welcome to the Word Garden, Joy, and I'm glad you enjoyed those lines...I rather did, too!
