Letter To My Love

It is windy tonight--

As if the longing I feel for you had grown so restless that it

Manifested in the heavens themselves,

Searching for you as if it could not

Bear separation another minute;

I am full of you tonight,

Melting within myself as if my body were wax and my love a lit wick--

I reach for you across distance,

Across longing,

Across heaven;

Can't you feel my fingertips hover,

Separated from your skin on this windy night

By nothing more than time and thin air.
