Spiritual Wisdom From Fireblossom, Eastern Mystic*

*(more fucking haiku!)

the bubbling stream
finds peace only when it flows
cat hurls on carpet

golden sun spreads light
far beyond its horizon
oh no, fem odor

swallow builds its nest
from objects it can gather
steal lipstick, why pay?

mt. fuji erupts
all illusions burned away
wife found cell phone bill

ants communicate
all have found the same proud tree
laugh at tiny twig

zen master very wise
cares not where golden coins went
denies all charges

You are a riot, Lady! Fem odor and small twigs...? The last is fair comment on how materialism has pretty much killed spiritualism, in the way hacks have killed haiku... Present company (yeah all of you) excluded, of course...

...sneaks quietly away...

Ouch! I feel a little emasculated. I know your intention was to express in a poetic way how you view nature but for some reason I feel, as a male, that I was walking in your nature trail barefoot and naked and trip over a little twig.

The Haiku Virus is spreading! Surrender, Shay....

Pay no attention to Lolamouse. She has crossed over to the dark side!

The humble novice kneels at the feet of the master, trying to avoid the nasty spots on the rug. I hear they sell Mindful Carpet Cleaner at the Zen Store.

Hilarious....the bubbling stream next to the throwing up cat...yes, I understand that :). Maybe my cats can only find serenity after throwing up what they scarf down?

Kind of a stroke, stroke, slap thing you got going here Madame Ming.

For someone who hates Haiku, you rocked it!! I love these...I would actually enjoy Haiku if they were all written like this :)

Sounds just like our cat. In the middle of the night I'll often hear the dreaded *Ack! Ack! Ack!* sound. It's always a sprint to toss her off the rug and into the tiled bathroom. Darned cat...

Were you peeking in my window this evening, Shay? Stripey hurled. I'm not sure what he ate - possibly a bad mouse? And why oh why do animals seek out carpeting when they need to throw up??

Loved your haiku and thank you for making me smile!

Aaaah, the depth of your haikus. So deep, people are putting on their waders...

Seriously, I loved your technique of beginning with two straight lines, and then zinging us the twist at the end.

Small bits of wisdom
lurk in all these
and some humor as well,
but don't let mt. fuji erupt
I'm not that far …

Excellent haiku.

Heh heh heh.

So ... Is it easier to write poetry comic or write it straight?

Tee-hee-hee. A masterpiece, Shay. Thank you, o zen mistress, for the smiles this morning. I humbly bow to your illustrious word skills. xo
