I can't believe what this reminded me of. When I was a little girl, there was this book called The Lonely Doll. It was my favorite book because instead of drawings, it used B/W photographs of a doll and a two bears -- Mr. Bear and Little Bear. I really loved that story. I think it was published in 1957. Funny how things are triggered in memory. I'd forgotten about this book:~)
