Birmingham Nursery Rhyme

I was brought up right--

I carry my mother in a little box

Wrapped in cotton

Under locks.

Weebles wobble

But they don't fall down--

Somehow I survived

A little angry, but alive.

It's just that, if you poke me.

I'll poke back.

Trust me, Pokey,

Gumby that.

I'm polite.

I say, fuck off please.

I wear no ink.

I believe in grace, poise, and a well-timed wink--

I carry a sap...

But it's pink.

  1. Fuck off, please? LOL! Reminds me of a friend who had an argument in high school. We were at the gym, and she went back and forth with the guy and finally said, "Sir? Fuck you, sir!"

  2. Rather a good one. A poem with an attitude, I'd say!

  3. RK my beloved Twin, somehow I just KNEW when I wrote it, that that would be your favorite line! Love the gym girl. :-)

    Aloha, Cloudia! Glad you liked!

    Thanks, Tabitha. :-)

Attitude, Ekanth? Not me. I'm a mousey little poet, nothing more.

  6. "Fuck Off, please" is much more polite than my "Fuck Off and die."

"It's just that, if you poke me.

    I'll poke back.

    Trust me, Pokey,

    Gumby that."

Did someone piss you off today?
