don't imagine I missed that smirk.
Yes, you better turn tail and run!
(or will those charms always work?)
Rotten rat--
always grin and tease like that--
Young one,
so adorable and sneaky smart.
You won me over, you little bandit--
puppy love from the start.

for Flash 55 at Real Toads. I took on the added form challenge as well. This poem is for my little wild girl Skittles, who cannot read, but what the heck. She's a puppy!
Not only toys and treats, but odes to her fair self. And not just odes, but form poems! This dog is sitting pretty, I tell ya. Adorable, Shay.
ReplyDeleteAwww! It's not thievery. It's long term borrowing!
ReplyDeleteno doubt, she's a smarty-pants wily one!
ReplyDeleteAccording to Skittles (and all dogs): What is yours is theirs and what is theirs... they will happily share with you.
ReplyDeleteAw, I just love doggy poetry!
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet. K.
ReplyDeletesweet. Hope this means Skits is OK
ReplyDeleteThe more mischievous they are, the more adorable! This was a poem I could relate to, having several four-footed friends.
ReplyDeleteOh Boy! A poem about Skittles, just when I needed a doggie fix. Love this, Shay. Give her a squeeze for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the reminder about Toads. I will try. And I definitely need those reminders from you these days, my friend. You know. ♥
Aww. She definitely has stolen your heart!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at the smirk on my own little thief right now. Such charming little rats:)
ReplyDeleteI think dogs are natural to get to the heart of humans.. My sister's dog is no longer a puppy. Just be careful with skittles for Skittles.. My sister's dog have been to hospital several times after eating chocolate....
ReplyDeleteBut it was just a game! *huge puppy eyes*
ReplyDeleteThey do win us over, don't they? Straight to the heart...

Joan Jet! Love! And the wild puppy love too.
ReplyDeleteYes, the charms always work. At least with my puppy loves they always have. And so well done with the form I almost didn't notice it.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. :)
ReplyDeleteSending you a warm hug from a cold Montreal. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, ruff ruff! Plus you got the special all-berry Skittles there, my personal favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, love the name Skittles for a puppy!
ReplyDeleteI'd snatch up those delicious little sugary treats in a heartbeat too if it were me.
ReplyDeleteThey're so lovable despite all the naughtiness... maybe even because of it! ;)
