The Danger With Doughnuts

The danger with doughnuts

Is that they have no heart.

Postulations by pastries

Tend to fall apart.

Memoirs by muffins

Can be a crumby read,

And bagels are so boastful

It gets tiresome indeed.

Butter churns the rumor mill

While jam is always sweet.

Stale stuff may make you ill

As you stagger to the street.

The baker ate and ate and ate

Then he ate some more,

He tried to kiss the pastry chef

But got stuck inside the door!
