Paper Wings

Here are candy hearts,
paper wings,
sailing charts, and a thousand things

I made for you
in hopes they'd do--
oh can't you hear

how my paper bird sings?

  1. Just a lovely wistful sweet sad poem. Simple in the most universally human of ways. (And really gives a depth to the drawing, which of course I appreciate!). Thanks. K.

  11. There is an innocence in this. It sparks in me the wing flutter of first infatuation.
