Word Garden Word List #9 (Joan Colby)

Hello everyone, it's me with your weekly word list poetry prompt. Today our list is taken from the poems of Joan Colby, and specifically from her collection Joyriding to Nightfall.

Colby writes about nature, animals, aging, and the angels and devils in everything around us.

What we do here is simple: use at least 3 of the 20 words on the list in a poem of any length or style. Then link up and visit others. The prompt stays "live" through Friday.

And now, without further booshwah, your list!

Another poet I'm unfamiliar with, but there are some great words to work with here. Thanks for hosting this, Shay. I'll be back when I have put something together.

On your recommendation, I purchased this book of poems! I enjoy her style .. "Back Seat" was my favorite in Joyriding to Nightfall.

Shay, I just now had the problem you had with my comments. I had the same problem with my iPad, I found it last night after it had been lost for over two years. I could read it but not the three comments. Blogger wouldn't let me sign myself into Blogger to do that, told me my browser was no longer accepted. I do require Google or Blogger Id to keep out spammers who put their ads and worse into as comments. My other appliances work fine. Right now I can't update the iPad as I can't get into the Apple stuff. Apple doesn't know me by name and I don't know my Apple Id or password. Wanna buy cheap an old iPad?
I liked your pick of Joan Colby's words today. I think I'll read her "Riding to Nightfall" book. I would have ridden with them even though our post-teens riding started AT nightfall. She me reminds me of Hunter S Thompson and his ride to Las Vegas. Hunter is my sort-of-hero type guy. I never joined but I rode my motorcycle and ate, drank a little, with The San Jacinto High Rollers of East Houston and suburbs. I drew the line and abstained from riding with them into Louisiana for a crawfish festival. I knew the shape they'd be in on the 300 miles back to Houston.
