Jesu, Je T'adore

I told the girl at the salon,
"Here is a picture of my favorite star,
Make me look like this,
Mysterious and
So perfectly blonde."

She said, "Sure thing, but first,
Pray with me,
Pray with me now, right here on the checkered floor,
For Heaven to send a miracle--
Jesu, je t'adore."

Who knew?
Who knew He was French?
They never wear anything twice because of all the smoke...
I'm saved from the miserable shadows, saved by Eurotrash--
This is no light matter.
This is not a joke.

And when you hold me, I'm set free.
You complete me with the way you are;
Then I say, "Darling,
Never love anyone but me."

You say, "Sure thing, but first,
Pray with me,
Pray with me that I won't tell you big whopping lies anymore,
For Heaven to send a miracle--
Jesu, je t'adore."

Who knew?
Who knew He was French?
They never wear anything twice because of all the smoke...
I'm saved from the miserable shadows, saved by Eurotrash--
This is no light matter.
This is not a joke.

My cousin looks just like every picture of Jesus I've ever seen.

That may explain mt theological leanings - No way cousin Darrel is god!

  3. Maybe I need to start praying in French. "What can I say? I tell everyone I love them??" :)

Chica, where do you find this stuff??

Jesus te ama, amiga. ;) (Did you know Jesus is Spanish, too??)

  7. I used to say to my ex "Je t'adore"

And he'd respond, "Shut the door, yourself!"

    I mentioned "EX," right???

OMG OMG OMG...you seemed to have torn the words that I so have sought in my own life currently, thank you for giving my heart the words it has the courage to seek, but the sadness to not speak.

  10. An intriguing poem, Shay. I have to do a little mental adjustment in seeing Jesus blowing smoke - in more ways than one.

  11. Right on Shay....what do they think the 'burning bush' was anyway. Somewhere back down the blog is a song called "Skidmark Blues" or you can find it on "Mawheegan's U-tube"...you might enjoy it .....

Have a good weekend honeypot !!!
