Happy Birthday To My BFF !
Today is a very special day! I have it straight from that noted wonder dog Chinook, that today is her mom's birthday!
You see, once upon a time, an adorable little girl was born in Chicago, in a little log cabin.
In time, she grew up to be a mild and well-mannered lady.
It soon became apparent that she had a special talent. Oh, get your mind out of the gutter! I mean that she blossomed into a talented lady writer!
This bitch is such a show off She writes such amazing poetry, that it leaves the rest of us a little jealous.
(And searching for a good wig shop)
Most usually, she writes about sunny, happy subjects.
Today, though, I hope that she will take a well-deserved break from her literary labors...
...and enjoy some birthday cake. Oh, shit! Funi got hold of the special birthday cake I made! Funi, put that down! Funi! Aw damn.
Well, no matter. Hedgewitch knows that she is my Best Friend Forever. Happy Birthday, Witchy! It is just my good luck to get to be your friend.

joy is one of the most amazing humans on the earth...not just for your reasoning, but because...well dang it, she just is...and she writes some dang good poetry as well...smiles.

Great post, Shay, well deserved accolades to the talented Hedgewitch. I remember when Joy first came on the scene, and your commenting that she was the one poet who really made you feel pushed.
