The Note C.M. Left For Andy

Carrots see what is hidden from thee,

Corn is simple and sweet.

Peas agree that hiding is best,

And are exceptionally quick on their feet.

Beets sit and bitch

And drone on and on.

Brussels sprouts won't say

Which side they're on.

Asparagus

Looks on in disgust.

Celery can't be

Easy to trust.

Lima beans make a scene,

And their language is foul.

Lettuce is roughage

And good for the bowel.

Tubers start rumours,

And yams say I certainly am!

But French green beans live beyond their means,

While insisting they certainly do not!

Vegans are violently

Opposed to meat.

Radishes have nothing

And are out on the street.

My vegetable love,

I don't mean to be coy--

But the truth is, my dear,

I'm leaving you for soy.

  3. Ok, I really don't think it is the dog, you just dream this stuff up don't you. You wake up from a good nights sleep, and there it is. Do you take requests? I need a custom poem written.

    Again, you rock!

  4. Peas are quick on their feet.

    I love it.

I'm pretty sure my veggies are planning a mutiny in the fridge right now.

  5. "My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires, and more slow." I'd love to be there to see his face after receiving this from C.M. Brilliant!

  6. Little something for you at my place.

My family used to grow the mighty soy bean. When we had a farm, but alas it has been raped by the coal-men.

  7. Had we but world enough, and time, I'd leave an intelligent comment. Alas, my child will not let me be!

  8. Ok ok, T, I do write them, it isn't the dog after all. His would be better, lol! I can try to write a poem for you if you email me and let me know the details. Then I will let you know whether I can do it or not.

    Ever spilled peas, K? LOL.

Yeah, Pouty, wouldn't that be interesting to see? Did he really think she'd give it up if he went on about turnips long enough? Maybe just to shut him up, lol.

    oOo thanks Paige!

Have Baby Puppy read my blog, Mama Zen, she'll be asleep in seconds, like everyone else. :-D
