Dia de Bloglandia

I just wanted to say, that before yesterday, I had very little understanding about what Dia de los Muertos was all about. But thanks to Susanna and Stephanie and all of you who shared your amazing talent, creativity, and memories, I spent most of sunday going from blog to blog being just absolutely dazzled by all that I saw.

Today I found myself already planning to make an ofrendo next year. THANK YOU from my heart, to Susanna and Stephanie for planning this marvelous event, to everyone who paricipated--you each and every one made my life richer--and to everyone who was kind enough to visit Word Garden and say hello.

It seems to me that this Dia de Bloglandia celebration ended up being deeper and more meaningful than anyone ever realized that it would. From the fun of sugar skulls to the color of the marigolds, to the sheer love of the ofrendos, the whole thing meant so much to me.

I had not heard about the tradition either until my daughter mentioned that they could bring in photos to school of loved ones gone beyond to talk about them.

I'm so hapy (and happy,) for you Fireblossom that you've made all htose (and those,) wonderful new connections via the Bloglandia day. Cool!

Oh, and I'll take the hippotamoose off your hands. We'll provide a most loving home here. We can meet in North Schertz or Lower Buda and make the swap!

I mean hippopotamoose.

Art & P, I am reading a novel in which the subject of fractals just came up! Synchronicity!

ooo, Hortense (the hippopotamoose) is dancing for joy at this very moment! Could I also interest you in taking Fred and Frederica? They are a guinea pig and a guinea hen and they come, of course, as a pair!

Oops, sorry Shrinky! Jannie brought that thread over from HER blog. It's all HER fault lol.

I love those gorgeous!
Yes, next year I'll participate again too. This was my first year and it was so special.
The website that Steph provided has some nice supplies to make them. I think I'll order some throughout the year and get started on some to practice.
